How to invite someone to collaborate on your Wix website?

You can invite someone from your team or a Wix expert, who will design your website, to your website. Giving access to someone can either be done through your dashboard on desktop or on your Wix mobile app. Let's take a closer look at how this process is done.

1) After logging into your Wix.com account, select the website you want to send an invitation to and open the site panel.

2) Click on the Settings tab on the left.

3) On the page that opens, click on the Roles and Permissions box.

4) Click on the Invite button.

5) Enter the e-mail address of the person or expert you want to send an invitation to and select Admin role. If you are sending an invitation for bizimuhit.com, enter bizimuhit@gmail.com in this field.

6) Click on the Send invitation button and complete the process.

Which Role Is Suitable to Invite Someone with?

Each role you see on "Roles and Permissions" page has specific perks over the site, apps, payment details, domain settings, etc. If you want someone to take all the control over your website, then you should go with Admin/Co-owner role.

You can select one of those that best fit your request details. The collaborator can be a marketing manager or your store manager or even your blog editor.

Here are some of the roles and the permissions which is assigned to that collaborator with:

• Admin/Co-owner role: It has full access to manage, edit and publish the site, including billing, space areas and inviting people, but cannot delete or transfer the site. Invite your co-founders, some of your colleagues and sides of your business.

  
  

• Website Manager/Website Designer role: Has access to manage, edit & publish site, but cannot manage billing, delete, duplicate or transfer site. If you want someone to make some changes on design and settings on your site.
  

• Back Office Manager: Can access the Dashboard to manage site settings and apps but cannot edit the site.

Inviting someone with a custom role you created

You create your own role with custom permissions you define. Click on create a role option on the list and then fill out the fields, and then click on Save button.

While giving someone access to your site with a custom role, you need to be carefull since the permissions for payment, domain, settings and integrations are not defined as system default.

Granting permissions through Wix mobile app

You can also invite someone to your website using Wix mobile app. Go to settings and then click on invite. Enter collaborator's email and select a role for it. And, that's it.

Removing someone from your site

If there is someone on your site to be removed since you are no longer to work or collaborate with, you can easily remove their access to your site.

1) Click on the Settings tab on the left.

2) On the page that opens, click on the Roles and Permissions tab.

3) See three dots on the right side of each collaborator on the list.

4) Click on three dots, select Remove and confirm it.
